Here is what happened at the January 27 meeting.

We welcomed several new members to the club, a couple of which were referred to us by More Beer.

We were reminded that the 2014 membership dues are due.

Scott Thomas gave us an update on the new home brew law and how it affects us. More analysis to follow.

Craig brought in some samples of our DOZE project barrel aged beers.

He brought a Saison aged in wine barrels, he also put out a sign-up sheet for the next project. It will be a Flanders Red. If you want in on this project then shoot Craig or I an email. The Saison was awesome by the way.

DOZE purchased 1000 bottleneck labels for you to use at the meetings. Remember when you share your brew to put your name, your style, category, ABV and any other pertinent information on the label.

Next month we will begin Beer of the month. We will set aside one table for your special beers and members will vote with tokens for the beer or beers they liked best. The winner each month will receive applause, maybe more! I will need two volunteers each meeting to help with the tally and some recordkeeping.

DOZE member, Mike Smith, shared an awesome slide presentation of his trip to Belgium with his son. They went to several breweries and pubs. If you missed it, ask Mike for recommendations for your own trip.
