In 2017, the Beer of the Month competition will change to promote discussions on various beer styles. Every other month, there will be limited beer styles allowed to enter in the BOTM. This will usually accompany a style talk related to the scheduled BOTM style. On the opposite months, all styles will be open to be submitted. Please review the calendar below to see which styles are allowed each month for 2017-18.

Where can I obtain definitions of a “Category” by it’s number or “Style”? Is this information defined by AHA documents?
Adam Wyss says
A complete listing of styles guidelines can be found on the BJCP website: http://www.bjcp.org/

You can also download free BJCPStyles app on your smartphone. Meant for Judges but great reference when drinking/brewing different styles.

Really like this idea. Good mix of style specific and open months as well, thanks Adam.
