This is a note to all of you who are going to NCHF or wish you were going. We need your help to make this a fun and great event. Please sign up for one or two of the following to help the club. If you are not going you can sign up to bring beer. We want to be the best again. Bottles or Kegs are fine, just please label so you get credit. If you bring a keg, please bring a tap for it. We also have a dinner together Saturday night. If you could let me know when you sign up what you will be birnging, it would be a great help. Please reply as soon as you can. I have included names of those already signed up. We need more than one person per area. Also, I would like to get a couple of more people to help the NCHF committee. Thanks, Rachelle

Pro Brewer Day with John Donehower of Pyramid

Starts at 11am, runs until everyone leaves. Food, beer and excitement for all!

John Donehower of Pyramid will be at B3 next Saturday, August 19 starting at 11am. He’ll be brewing his favorite homebrew Porter recipe. By all accounts the last Pro Brewer day (Drakes) was a blast, and this one should be too.

As an added bonus, B3 is offering 25% off all their German Hefeweizen kits and yeasts for people brewing on site. Lots of food and beer will be shared, make sure not to miss it!

We have an opportunity to promote our club and B3 this Sat. Aug. 12, 12pm to 2pm at Vince’s house 1780 Danesta Dr. Concord (925) 798-8138. Black Diamond Living Magazine is doing an article on homebrewing and wants picture to go with it. They have a deadline to meet so we don’t have time to arrange a real big brew.
We want to get as many club members as we can to come and look like they’re brewing and tasting and having a good time. I think Celebrity Foods will be here to share some BBQ snacks. Didgeridoos are encouraged. Bring beer.

Erik Beer sent over a neat link from BJCP that will overlay their Competition Schedule on Google Earth maps. Check it out over here. It’s completely pointless, but a whole lot of fun.
